Africa-Press – Tanzania. LETSHEGO Bank Tanzania has said 80 per cent of small scale entrepreneurs benefitted from business consultations offered by the lender during the 46th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) held in Dar es Salaam early this month.
The Bank’s Chief Executive Secretary, Mr Omar Msangi said in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday that most of the people who turned out in the lender’s pavilion later visited different branches to get services like opening a bank account.
“The small scale entrepreneurs have shown positive response by turning out in number to access bank’s services at different branches,” he said.
He said the bank continues to value the position of the small, medium and large scale business personnel in the country and it will collaborate with the government initiatives of boosting the economy of the country through businesses.
He ensured the effective participation of the private sector in boosting the economy, the bank has created a conducive business scene for its customers by launching Mkopo Fasta which is a tailored product created to support small business owners to overcome the challenges of cash flow.
He added the ‘Mkopo Fasta’ intends to increase access to capital, quickly and simply to enable small businesses to buy stock, meet business expenses or even support any production costs needed to meet current delivery orders on time.
He assured that the bank will continue to invest and grow its business by diversifying its product offering, digitising channels to increase customer experience as well as facilitating easy access to more affordable financial solutions for more
In addition to supporting small businesses, he insisted that the bank also supports individuals with financial solutions and products for youth, health, wellbeing, savings and retirement.
