Africa-Press – Tanzania. ZANZIBAR President Dr Hussein Mwinyi on Friday swore in various leaders and government executives following their recent appointments.

In a ceremony held at the Zanzibar State House, Dr Mwinyi swore in Juma Makungu as Deputy Minister for Land, Human Settlement Development and Masoud Hussein Idd as Principal Secretary in the President’s Office (State House).

Others who were sworn in are Dr Maua Abeid Daftari as Ethics Secretariat Commissioner, Rashid Ali Salim as Minister for Trade and Industrial Development and Rajab Yussuf Mkasaba as Unguja South District Commissioner.

The ceremony was attended by various national and Chama Cha Mapinduzi leaders. High profile leaders who attended the ceremony include Chief Justice Khamis Ramadhan Abdalla, Attorney General Dr Mwinyi Talib Haji, Chief Secretary Zena Ahmeid Said and CCM Deputy Secretary General Zanzibar Abdalla Juma ‘Mabodi’.

Others are Zanzibar Grand Mufti Sheikh Saleh Bin Omar Kaab, House of Representative Speaker Zubeir Ali Maulid, ministers, Mjini Magharibi Regional Commissioner Idrissa Kitwana Mustafa, Zanzibar City Mayor Mohamed Mahamoud Mussa, heads of defense and security organs, religious leaders and family members.
