Africa-Press – Tanzania. DAR ES SALAAM: The ruling party’s Ideology and Publicity Secretary, Paul Makonda has said the ruling party will not hesitate to take strong measures against all government officials who fail to discharge their duties diligently.

He made the remarks on Thursday during the formal handing over of the documents and office from the outgoing forerunner Ms Sophia Mjema, who has been appointed as advisor to the President on women’s, (youth’s and special groups) in Dar es Salaam.

He said that CCM is the ear of the government and the voice of the people stressing on the importance of reliable sources of information in guiding the party’s actions and direction emphasizing the critical role of accurate information in making sound decisions.

“Across the globe, people’s lives are driven by information, and it’s the quality of information that shapes decisions. If your information source is unreliable, it can lead to poor decision-making, but with a trustworthy source, you’re more likely to make sound choices,” he said.

Equally, he expressed his gratitude to his predecessors, including Ms Sophia Mjema, Shaka Hamdu Shaka, Humphrey Polepole, and Nape Nnauye for their significant contributions to the party and promising to not hesitate in seeking their guidance and cooperation while performing his duties.

The outgoing Ideology, Publicity Secretary, Ms Sophia Mjema described the crucial role of the department as it is the heart of the party.

She expressed confidence in Makonda’s ability in realising the vision of our party and urged the party’s staff to continue offering their support to him for the party’s growth and success in upcoming elections.
