Africa-Press – Tanzania. The Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) has announced an additional passenger train service on the Dar es Salaam–Kilimanjaro–Arusha route for the festive season.
In a statement released on Thursday, the corporation explained that the decision aims to accommodate the growing number of passengers traveling to the northern part of the country.
The TRC noted that the train will begin its service from Dar es Salaam to Kilimanjaro on Saturday, December 21.
The train is scheduled to depart Dar es Salaam at 2:30 PM, heading to Kilimanjaro and Arusha, and will return from Arusha to Dar es Salaam on Sunday, December 22, departing at the same time.
Earlier this year, the corporation increased train trips to the Tanga region to address the rising demand during the festive season.
