Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>DAR ES SALAAM: <\/b>Government says it will track down teen mothers who have not yet reported back to school.<\/p>\n

This has been raised by the Minister for Education, Science and Technology Prof Adolph Mkenda during Utafiti Elimu Tanzania 2024 conference at Dar es Salaam University College of Dar es Salaam (DUCE) main campus in the city on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom May 1st (Friday), a team from the ministry will be visiting schools to see how teen mothers are progressing and the challenges they face.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will also be given a chance to say what they think should be done for their lives at school to be better.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time, the team will trace the teen mothers who were given a chance to go back to school and failed to do so in order to find out the root cause for that,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

The conference is done annually which brings together academic researchers and policy makers who discuss key issues related to education.<\/p>\n

It is organised by EdTech Hub, British Council, GEEAP and other partners.<\/p>\n
