Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>ZANZIBAR:<\/b> The Zanzibar Insurance Corporation, in collaboration with Tigo Pesa, has unveiled a new service that enables insurance customers to access services through the Tigo Pesa USSD system or via the Tigo Pesa App.<\/p>\n

The launch event took place yesterday at the Golden Tulip Airport Hotel, with the guest of honor being the Minister of State in the Office of the President for Finance and Planning SMZ, Honorable Dr. Saada Mkuya Salum.<\/p>\n

During her address, Honorable Dr. Saada Mkuya Salum emphasized that the partnership between ZIC and Tigo Pesa marks a significant step forward for the financial sector\u2019s development, aligning with the eighth government\u2019s vision to enhance innovation in the financial sector and make financial services more inclusive for citizens.<\/p>\n

On his part, ZIC\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Arafat Ally Haji, stated that the collaboration between ZIC and Tigo Pesa will open up new opportunities to stimulate innovation in insurance service delivery for citizens.<\/p>\n

He also extended his sincere gratitude to everyone involved in achieving this milestone, acknowledging the efforts of both parties\u2019 executives and their dedication in turning these visions into reality.<\/p>\n

Explaining some of the benefits of the partnership between Tigo Pesa and ZIC, he elaborated that among these benefits are increased accessibility of insurance services to citizens, accelerated innovation in the distribution of insurance services, providing excellent customer service, and having accurate data to support service enhancement research.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Tigo Pesa\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Angelica Pesha, mentioned that this innovative service encompasses various types of private and commercial motor vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, tuk-tuks, buses, or any registered motor vehicle within the United Republic of Tanzania.<\/p>\n

To access ZIC\u2019s motor vehicle insurance service via Tigo Pesa, dial * 150* 01# on your Tigo Pesa line, select option 7, then select option 3 for insurance, followed by option 2 for motor vehicles, then choose ZIC, and follow a few simple steps to complete registration and payment.<\/p>\n
