Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>DAR ES SALAAM:<\/b> IN a vibrant display of international diplomacy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Pe\u0301ter Szijja\u0301rto\u0301, is expected to arrive in the country for a One-day official visit, rich with promise and cooperation, exemplifying the strong ties between Hungary and Tanzania.<\/p>\n

According to the Head of Communication Department of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation, Mindi Kisiga, the esteemed Minister Szijja\u0301rto\u0301 is expected to touch down at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) promptly today at 17:25. From there, he will whisk himself away to the hotel to prepare for his upcoming engagements.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Thursday, Minister Szijja\u0301rto\u0301\u2019s agenda, which is filled with crucial meetings and discussions, will have a tete-a-tete with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation, Mr January Makamba, setting the tone for the productive exchanges to come,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the highlight of the day will be the bilateral meeting between Minister Szijja\u0301rto\u0301 and his counterpart, Mr Makamba, culminating in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Water of Tanzania and the Ministry of Interior of Hungary on cooperation in the field of water management.<\/p>\n

The agreement will cement a new chapter of collaboration between the two nations.<\/p>\n

In line with that, he will have a press conference and interviews with Tanzania Broadcasting Cooperation (TBC) and Daily News followed, showcasing the Minister\u2019s commitment to transparency and engagement with the Tanzanian media.<\/p>\n

Continuing his diplomatic rounds, Minister Szijja\u0301rto\u0301 will meet with Minister for Defense and National Services, Dr Stergomena Tax, at the Ministry of Defense Headquarters in Upanga.<\/p>\n

The exchange of gifts and discussions further strengthened the bonds of friendship between Hungary and Tanzania.<\/p>\n

As the day draws to a close, the Hungarian Minister will bid farewell to Tanzania, departing from Julius Nyerere International Airport at 13:15, marking the end of a successful and fruitful visit.<\/p>\n

The visit of Minister Pe\u0301ter Szijja\u0301rto\u0301 served as a testament to the enduring partnership between Hungary and Tanzania, promising a future marked by mutual respect, cooperation, and shared prosperity.<\/p>\n

On July 17th, last year, the former President of Hungary, Katalin Nova\u0301k, also arrived in the country for a three-day state visit at the invitation of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.<\/p>\n

President Samia held talks with her at the State House about the long history of the two countries dating back to the 1980s, especially in diplomacy, economy, and trade.<\/p>\n
