\nAfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> SIMBA \u2019S six-point mission hit fifty percent of target on Wednesday after clearing Mbeya City hurdle with a clean 2-0 win in a thrilling encounter at Sokoine stadium in Mbeya.<\/p>\n

The six-point mission will knock its 100 per cent target if the Dar es Salaam giants beat Tanzania Prisons in their mission\u2019s final hurdle on June 28th<\/sup>\u00a0at the same venue.<\/p>\n

By winning yesterday\u2019s match Simba now need only a point to defend their league title for the third time in a row.<\/p>\n

Do Simba clear Tanzania Prisons hurdle, they will be champions and grab again league diadem this season, especially after their closest challengers, Azam lost 1-0 to Kagera Sugar at Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba yesterday.<\/p>\n

Wednesday\u2019s tense match\u00a0 saw Simba opening their goal account early in the 5th<\/sup>\u00a0minute through John Bocco, who completed Clatous Chama\u2019s\u00a0 timely move from the left flank.<\/p>\n

Said Ndemla, who played well on Wednesday, initiated the move as a counter attack after Mbeya City had raided Simba goal.<\/p>\n

The score remained unanswered until the end of the first half.<\/p>\n

The second half saw Simba coming back a rejuvenated side as it didn\u2019t take them long to add their second goal through Bocco again.<\/p>\n

The second goal came barely 10 minutes after the resumption and this time it was Francis Kahata who did a good spadework before releasing a volley that Bocco smartly chopped it above the advancing Mbeya City goalie Aaron Kalambo.<\/p>\n

Soon after the goal, Simba brought in Luis Miquissone for Francis Kahata in their bid to search for more goals.<\/p>\n

Before\u00a0\u00a0 Muzamir\u00a0 Yassin came for\u00a0 Ndemla while the hosts brought in\u00a0 Said\u00a0 Kipanga\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 Kelvin\u00a0 John\u00a0 for\u00a0 Chidiebere and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 George\u00a0 Chota respectively.<\/p>\n

And\u00a0 in the dying\u00a0 minutes\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 game\u00a0 referee\u00a0 Athumani\u00a0 Lazi\u00a0 denied\u00a0 Simba\u00a0 the\u00a0 third goal\u00a0 netted by Miraji\u00a0 Athumani for\u00a0 a\u00a0 foul play.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0 results\u00a0 put\u00a0\u00a0 Mbeya\u00a0 City\u00a0 in the deep relegation zone\u00a0 as\u00a0 they\u00a0 are placed\u00a0\u00a0 18th<\/sup> \u00a0 with\u00a0 30 points\u00a0 from 31 games\u00a0 and\u00a0 are left with\u00a0 seven games\u00a0 in\u00a0 their\u00a0 campaign\u00a0 to avoid relegation.<\/p>\n

Simba\u00a0 are\u00a0 currently riding the pack with 78 points\u00a0\u00a0 from\u00a0 31 games\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0 if\u00a0 they\u00a0 manage\u00a0 to clinch\u00a0 one point in their two coming\u00a0 games\u00a0 they will be\u00a0 declared\u00a0 champions\u00a0 as their two close competitors\u00a0 Azam FC\u00a0 and\u00a0 Young\u00a0 Africans\u00a0 can hardly bag 79 points at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

As in another fixture held at Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba, Azam faced a big hurdle from the hosts Kagera Sugar.<\/p>\n

The hosts, who played with determination, were first to score in the 34th<\/sup>\u00a0minute of the first half through Yusuf Mhilu, who is at the moment the team\u2019s leading scorer.<\/p>\n

Whereas at Karume Stadium in Musoma\u00a0 Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) who faced Biashara United\u00a0 were\u00a0 no\u00a0 match\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0 their\u00a0 hosts\u00a0 after\u00a0 being hammered 4-0.<\/p>\n

The hosts opened their goal account in the 36th<\/sup>\u00a0 minute through Justine Omary, Before\u00a0\u00a0 Atupele Green netting a hat-trick.<\/p>\n

Green doubled his side lead in\u00a0 the 68th<\/sup>\u00a0 minute\u00a0 before\u00a0 adding\u00a0 the third\u00a0 in the 72nd<\/sup>\u00a0 minute.<\/p>\n

Whereby\u00a0 the\u00a0 fourth\u00a0 goal and\u00a0 his\u00a0 third\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 match \u00a0was\u00a0 netted in the 90th<\/sup>\u00a0 minute.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0 another encounter held at the Nyamagana\u00a0 Stadium in Mwanza hosts\u00a0 Alliance\u00a0 FC\u00a0 were\u00a0 held to a\u00a0 1-1\u00a0 draw by visitors\u00a0 Polisi Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Alliance took the match lead in the\u00a0 51st<\/sup> minute through\u00a0 Martine Kiggi, but the visitors\u00a0\u00a0 levelled the matter through\u00a0 Pius\u00a0 Buswita in\u00a0 the\u00a0 80th<\/sup>\u00a0 minute.<\/p>\n
