Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>TANZANIA: <\/b>The President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, has applauded President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her outstanding presentation at the first-ever high-level clean cooking summit.<\/p>\n

He made the statement through his X account (formerly Twitter) shortly after the summit, adding that President Samia\u2019s incredible leadership led to the success of the clean cooking summit in Paris, France.<\/p>\n

\u201cA great leader: Thank you, President @SuluhuSamia of Tanzania, for your incredible leadership that led to the success of the clean cooking summit in Africa held in Paris. The world heard you and rallied with $2.1 billion. You are a gem for Africa! We trust your leadership,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

During the summit, President Samia Suluhu Hassan led a campaign that mobilized $2.1 billion, a momentous milestone in efforts to address a challenge affecting women and children.<\/p>\n

In her speech, she called for a generous replenishment of the African Development Fund, which includes $12 billion for clean cooking.<\/p>\n

At the event, Tanzania\u2019s Samia Suluhu Hassan was the co-chair alongside the President of AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina, Norway\u2019s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St\u00f8re, and International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director, Fatih Birol.<\/p>\n
