{"id":111882,"date":"2024-06-05T18:56:24","date_gmt":"2024-06-05T18:56:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/nit-logistic-firm-revive-mou-to-improve-professionalism"},"modified":"2024-06-05T19:52:05","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T19:52:05","slug":"nit-logistic-firm-revive-mou-to-improve-professionalism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/nit-logistic-firm-revive-mou-to-improve-professionalism","title":{"rendered":"NIT, Logistic firm revive MoU to improve professionalism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span><b>DAR ES SALAAM<\/b>:THE National Institute of Transport (NIT) has revived its agreement with the logistic firm, Simba Supply Chain Solution (SSCS) to strengthen collaboration, enhance efficiency and improve professionalism in the transport and logistics industry.<\/p>\n<p>NIT Rector Dr Prosper Mgaya said the revival of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is an opportunity to continue with practical training to its personnel by allowing students and lecturers from the institute to do attachment at the logistic firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have revived again our collaborations with the logistic firm after three years to continue providing practical training to NIT students hence enabling them to graduate as competent professionals ready to serve the market,\u201d he said in Dar es Salaam yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration seeks to sharpen the skills of its workforce so that it can continue dominating the local market but at the same time accommodate students and staff to gain experience at its facilities.<\/p>\n<p><b>Also Read: <\/b>UDSM students emerge winners of grand prize in ICT global competition<\/p>\n<p>Also, the partnerships between the two institutions include staff training and fieldwork placement, study visits as well as an industrial attachment for NIT staff to SSCS facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the revived agreement, NIT will assist SSCS in the diffusion of communication and employment offers as well as participating in events organised by each one of us addressing professional challenges and designed theoretical and practical solutions,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the MoU deal is to promote the mutual relationship between the two organisations in enhancing skills development for students and staff in areas of logistics operations, supply chain, engineering and ICT related operations and management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis partnership aims to bridge the knowledge gap in the entire value chain in the transport and logistics sector to improve productivity and efficiency hence increasing revenues to our institutions and the country as a whole,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Other areas will also include research and consultancy, training of SSCS drivers, capacity building in vehicle maintenance, freight clearing and forwarding and logistics as well as supply chain management.<\/p>\n<p>SSCS\u2019 General Manager, Ajuaye Msese, said their company has a long-term relationship with the NIT and the biggest beneficiaries of the products produced by the NIT in getting qualified employees but also getting trainings for their executives at various levels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSincerely, SSCS would like to congratulate the National Transport College due to the way it has been participating in producing experts in various cadres, especially in transport industry,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\">Tanzania<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania.
