Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>ZOLA Electric and its partners have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the government\u2019s efforts in implementing the Dar es Salaam Declaration, a key initiative aimed at expanding clean cooking and electricity access while increasing the share of renewable energy in Africa\u2019s energy mix.<\/p>\n

The declaration, issued recently at the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, aligns with an ambitious goal to connect 300 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa to electricity by 2030.<\/p>\n

ZOLA Electric\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Bill Lenihan, stated at a press conference on in Dar es Salaam that the company will contribute its expertise to accelerating decentralised renewable energy adoption, particularly in off-grid areas, which are critical to achieving universal energy access.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith over a decade of experience in delivering innovative energy solutions, our mission of \u2018Energy Equality for All\u2019 aligns seamlessly with the objectives of Mission 300,\u201d Mr Lenihan said.<\/p>\n

ZOLA\u2019s advanced platform\u2014integrating intelligent software, premium hardware, and tailored services\u2014has already impacted over three million lives and facilitated more than 500,000 installations across 10 countries.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur solutions are uniquely positioned to address Africa\u2019s energy access challenges, including unreliable grid infrastructure and the need for scalable, cost-effective alternatives,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Mr Lenihan described Mission 300 as a transformative opportunity to bridge Africa\u2019s energy gap. \u201cOur platform not only brings clean, reliable energy to underserved communities but also empowers local businesses to build sustainable energy enterprises. This is how we drive lasting impact at scale,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n

ZOLA\u2019s involvement in Mission 300 complements its role in the Healthcare Electrification and Telecommunication Alliance (HETA), a USAID-led initiative that aims to electrify and connect 10,000 health facilities across Sub-Saharan Africa within five years.<\/p>\n

By leveraging the same advanced distributed energy technology used in HETA, ZOLA is ensuring reliable energy access for both communities and essential services such as healthcare.<\/p>\n

Through HETA, ZOLA has already electrified over 340 healthcare facilities in Tanzania, significantly improving healthcare resilience and economic growth while positively impacting millions of lives.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s experience under HETA, particularly in areas such as plug-and-play scalability, remote monitoring, and data-driven operational efficiency, will directly support its ability to scale solutions under Mission 300.<\/p>\n

Through its enterprise-grade platform, ZOLA equips energy integrators with cutting-edge tools to remotely manage devices, deliver seamless PayGo financing, and ensure long-term operational sustainability.<\/p>\n

Mission 300 will depend on strong partnerships between governments, private sector stakeholders, and multilateral organisations to achieve its ambitious energy access goals.<\/p>\n
