{"id":140047,"date":"2025-09-11T21:24:23","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T21:24:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/wasira-outlines-three-point-strategy-to-secure-ccm-victory"},"modified":"2025-09-11T21:54:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T21:54:16","slug":"wasira-outlines-three-point-strategy-to-secure-ccm-victory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/wasira-outlines-three-point-strategy-to-secure-ccm-victory","title":{"rendered":"Wasira outlines three-point strategy to secure CCM victory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>CCM Vice- Chairperson (Mainland) Mr Stephen Wasira has outlined three key strategies to ensure a landslide electoral victory for presidential candidate, as well as the party\u2019s parliamentary and local government aspirants.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing party leaders in Morogoro on Tuesday including ward leaders, branch chairpersons and grassroots party representatives, Mr Wasira emphasised the importance of dissolving internal party factions and promoting the major achievements of the current government under the CCM Election Manifesto over the past four years.<\/p>\n<p>He also encouraged them to mobilise citizens to turn out and vote, while convincing them to support CCM candidates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy fellow leaders, after highlighting these key points, I want to remind you to dissolve all factions and widely publicise the achievements made during Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan\u2019s four years in office,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wasira stressed the importance of active voter mobilisation, noting that some citizens, including CCM members, may wrongly assume that victory is already secured through party primaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome say, \u2018Abood (Abdul-Aziz) already won the primaries, isn\u2019t that enough?\u2019 But a nomination doesn\u2019t make one an MP. That\u2019s why we call Abood our candidate but he must still face the General Election, where opposition candidates may challenge us,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cOur role now is twofold: to ensure people come out to vote and to persuade them why they should vote for CCM.\u201d Mr Wasira stressed the crucial role of 10-cell leaders (Mabalozi), saying they form the foundation of CCM\u2019s grassroots structure.<\/p>\n<p>He also noted that all local leaders have been provided with transport this year to support voter outreach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat transport is a tool for moving door-to-door, reminding people that \u2018today is voting day, get out and cast your vote, \u201che said.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that even in areas where opposition has not fielded candidates, CCM candidates must still win by securing more \u2018Yes\u2019 than \u2018No\u2019 votes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople might think the seat is already won if there\u2019s no opposition, but that\u2019s not the case. The candidate must get a majority of \u2018Yes\u2019 votes to win,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd our presidential candidate, too, needs strong support from every corner of the country. But where will those votes come from if people don\u2019t turn out to vote?\u201d he queried.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wasira acknowledged the massive turnout at Dr Samia\u2019s campaign rally in Morogoro but said that large rallies must now translate into votes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you for the impressive turnout but now, go tell the people to go and vote,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He further urged: \u201cEncourage everyone to cast their ballots, even those who might not support us. From a numbers\u2019 standpoint, we will still win. And even our opponents know this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that CCM\u2019s victory is almost certain, given the party\u2019s unmatched reach and member base.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTake Morogoro Urban constituency, for example, we have 100,000 CCM members out of 200,000 registered voters.
