This will be a key priority,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Akil emphasised that the ministry\u2019s collective task is to support government development targets while keeping the financial sector strong and beneficial to citizens. \u201cTogether, we must help the government achieve its goals and maintain strong performance,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted the importance of continuing to allocate funds to the national debt repayment fund, which currently holds around 350m US dollars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs President Hussein Ali Mwinyi has said, he does not want to leave behind a heavy debt burden.
