\nAfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> ILEMELA parliamentary candidate Dr Angelina Mabula (CCM) has officially launched her re-election campaigns at Sabasaba grounds in Ilemela Ward, promising to throw her weight into resolving water woes and other challenges facing the electorate.<\/p>\n

Dr Mabula, who is currently the Deputy Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, promised to continue working hard to bring development to Ilemela residents if she emerges victor in the upcoming general election scheduled for October 28.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have reduced the challenges, especially water problems in our wards and rural areas; we have installed six water tanks and we are still working to solve water problems in Buswelu Ward,\u201d Ms Angelina said.<\/p>\n

Dr Mabula said that over the past five years of her legislative leadership, 35 km of tarmacked road network and street lights had been attained, plus 47 kilometres of gravel roads.<\/p>\n

On the education sector Dr Mabula said the government had built 21 primary schools with the government providing more than 2.7bn\/- billion for the development of education for primary and 7.7bn\/-for secondary education in Ilemela District.<\/p>\n

She added that they built six police residential houses in Nyamongolo area and the construction of many others was in progress.<\/p>\n

She said the government resolved land disputes in Nyakunguru, Kahama and Lukobe areas whereby the government provided 12bn\/- to finance the land dispute resolution process, including compensation.<\/p>\n

She said they were currently planning to build a wide parking yard for trucks at Nyamongolo, a project that is expected to employ more than 200 people.<\/p>\n

CCM Youth Wing Chairman, Mr Kheri James, said this year\u2019s election would be smooth-sailing for CCM as it had fielded strong candidates.<\/p>\n

He commended Dr Mabula for the construction of modern roads from Kiseke to Sabasaba area, calling on councillorship candidates to be confident and enact productive laws for their residents.<\/p>\n
