{"id":148007,"date":"2026-02-06T20:21:57","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T20:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/tanzania-world-bank-assess-food-systems-resilience"},"modified":"2026-02-06T21:02:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T21:02:50","slug":"tanzania-world-bank-assess-food-systems-resilience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/tanzania-world-bank-assess-food-systems-resilience","title":{"rendered":"Tanzania World Bank Assess Food Systems Resilience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ap-article-header-tag\"> <strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania. <\/strong> <\/span>THE Medium-Term Review of the Tanzania Food Systems Resilience Program (TFSRP) which has reached the halfway point of its implementation period, is among the key issues being reviewed in the upcoming meeting between Tanzania and the World Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Tanzania\u2019s Minister for Agriculture, Daniel Chongolo, met with the World Bank\u2019s Chief Economist, Ernest Ruzindaza, who also serves as the Coordinating Lead for the Tanzania Food Systems Resilience Program (TFSRP), to discuss the implementation progress of the program, which is under the Ministry of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Africa Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (ACSAM), currently taking place in Dar es Salaam from February 3 to 6, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>During the discussions, the leaders reviewed several key issues, including the Medium-Term Review (MTR) of the TFSRP, which has reached the halfway point of its implementation period, two and a half years since its launch.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the meeting, Mr Ruzindaza said the review results will help identify areas that require additional strengthening to ensure the program achieves its intended objectives, as well as areas where priorities may need to be scaled down to enhance efficiency and impact.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Minister Chongolo and Mr Ruzindaza discussed potential support from other development partners that have expressed interest in contributing to the program.
