{"id":148356,"date":"2026-02-12T19:11:26","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T19:11:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/zanzibar-settles-373-land-dispute-cases"},"modified":"2026-02-12T19:57:32","modified_gmt":"2026-02-12T19:57:32","slug":"zanzibar-settles-373-land-dispute-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/zanzibar-settles-373-land-dispute-cases","title":{"rendered":"Zanzibar Settles 373 Land Dispute Cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ap-article-header-tag\"> <strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania. <\/strong> <\/span>DEPUTY Minister for Lands and Human Settlements Development, Ms Salha Mohamed Mwinjuma has announced that the ministry has established a Special Land Disputes Resolution Committee, to address land conflicts across Zanzibar.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Mwinjuma revealed that over the past five years, the ministry\u2019s mediation committee has received 468 land dispute cases, of which 373 have been resolved, while 95 remain under review.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Minister was responding to a question from Ole Constituency Representative, Mr Seif Hamad Suleiman, who said that his constituency faces numerous land conflicts in areas such as Ole town, Kwa Pweza and residential neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n<p>He sought clarification on the government\u2019s awareness of the disputes and the measures being taken to resolve them.
