Deputy Finance Minister Laurent Luswetula met with Plasco’s delegation to discuss strategic partnerships aimed at improving water and gas infrastructure. Plasco, a leader in plastic piping solutions, is ready to support these initiatives to boost the national economy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong> <\/span>THE Tanzanian government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with the private sector to accelerate industrial growth and economic development.<\/p>\n

This was reached in a discussion between the Deputy Minister for Finance, Laurent Luswetula, with a delegation from Plasco on the role of industry in boosting the national economy.<\/p>\n

The Plasco team, led by General Manager Dario Manlubatan and Marketing Manager Edith James, met the deputy minister at the ministry\u2019s sub-office in Dar es Salaam today, March 18, 2026.<\/p>\n

During their discussion, Mr Luswetula assured the delegation that the government will continue working closely with the private sector by addressing investment challenges and maintaining a conducive business environment.<\/p>\n

On its part, Plasco expressed readiness to partner with the government in strategic projects, particularly by providing expertise and innovation to strengthen water and gas infrastructure and improve service delivery to citizens.<\/p>\n

Plasco company manufactures high-quality plastic piping solutions for Water supply, Storage, Sanitation, Gas distribution and Telecom networks using innovative world-class technology.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1992 by four Tanzanian entrepreneurs, Plasco Ltd. began operations in 1993 with the production of drinking straws using a single refurbished extruder. Over the years, the company transitioned into a leading provider of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) solutions.<\/p>\n

Tanzania has been focusing on industrialization as a key driver for economic development. The government recognizes the importance of engaging with the private sector to overcome investment challenges and create a conducive business environment. Plasco, established in 1992, has evolved from producing simple products to becoming a significant player in providing water and sanitation solutions, reflecting the country’s industrial growth trajectory. This partnership signifies a step towards enhancing infrastructure and service delivery in Tanzania.<\/p>\n
