Zanzibar President Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi has expressed strong support for the Zanzibar Law Society, recognizing its vital role in aiding citizens with legal issues. During a meeting with the society’s leadership, he emphasized the need for sustainable solutions for law students facing educational challenges and highlighted the importance of thorough planning for investment projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong> <\/span>ZANZIBAR President, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to supporting the Zanzibar Law Society, commending its role in assisting citizens in legal matters.<\/p>\n

The Isle\u2019s President made the statement during a meeting with the leadership of the Zanzibar Law Society, led by its President, Advocate Joseph Magazi, who paid a courtesy visit at the State House in Zanzibar.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the President urged the association\u2019s leadership to work on a sustainable solution to the challenges facing law students who are unable to continue with their studies, calling for long-term interventions to address the issue.<\/p>\n

On the request for investment land, Dr Mwinyi advised the association to conduct a thorough assessment and proper planning before the government takes further action, in order to avoid delays in project implementation.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he said that the pace of investment in the country is expected to increase compared to the previous administration, as the government continues to strengthen resource availability and improve the investment climate.<\/p>\n

For his part, Zanzibar Law Society President Joseph Magazi praised Dr Mwinyi for his efforts in opening up Zanzibar and positioning it as a key investment hub for East and Central Africa.<\/p>\n

In a related development, President Mwinyi handed over a vehicle to the association, fulfilling a request made during the recent Law Day celebrations to strengthen its operational capacity.<\/p>\n

The Zanzibar Law Society has been instrumental in providing legal assistance and advocacy for citizens in Zanzibar. Established to promote the rule of law and support legal education, the society plays a crucial role in addressing legal challenges faced by the community. President Mwinyi’s recent commendation reflects ongoing efforts to enhance legal support and investment opportunities in the region, aiming to position Zanzibar as a key player in East and Central Africa’s economic landscape.
