THE government is now collecting views from businesspeople and the general public on how to address challenges, which drawback business growth in the country.<\/p>\n

The revelation was made here recently by the Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr Philip Mpango, adding that the exercise has already started and would be concluded by the end of next month.<\/p>\n

He said that all their views and recommendations should be channeled to his ministry, where there are different professionals already in groups to receive and advise.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to promise all businesspeople that all their views would be received and worked on to improve business environment in the country. I urge all Tanzanians to exploit this opportunity,\u2019\u2019 said the minister.<\/p>\n

Expounding, Dr Mpango noted that the current regime was doing all its best to improve business and investment environment, including waiving nuisance taxes, levies and running tax amnesty, where necessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cEqually, the government has prepared and implemented the Blueprint for Regulatory Reforms to improve the business environment in the country with a view to widening business opportunities,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

In a related development, the Minister pointed out that the government has been fighting corruption to ensure that they run business without any inherence, saying: \u201cTanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) officials have been directed to refrain from closing any business that is not complying with tax legislation, instead sort out their problems amicably in a dialogue and give time for one to pay any outstanding tax debt through installments.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
