AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> CCM Central Committee member Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has called upon Tanzanians to vote for Presidential Candidate, Dr John Magufuli, since his performance record speaks for itself.<\/p>\n

The prime minister made a plea on Thursday in Igugwa District and in Bukombe District, Geita Region, during his campaign, insisting that Dr Magufuli\u2019s background history was well-known to all Tanzanians with his record on job performance, which matched any of the opposition candidates.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are all aware of Dr Magufuli\u2019s abilities. He has been a minister for the past 20 years as Minister for Works, his footprints are being realised on the roads. As Minister for Lands he banned civil servants to hoard land for personal interests,\u201d said Mr Majaliwa.<\/p>\n

He told the audience to vote for Dr Magufuli because they knew his background and history set during the leadership.<\/p>\n

He added that the people should choose a leader who could coordinate the government\u2026\u201cif people are not keen enough, they may end up choosing a person without such qualities.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the PM, people should vote for Dr Magufuli because is the person who possess such qualities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have witnessed all things which have been done during the past five years Dr Magufuli served as President. He ran a good fight against corruption in the country\u2026I am here before you, regardless of your political affiliations. I appeal to you to vote for Dr Magufuli and all other CCM candidates,\u201d emphasised Mr Majaliwa.<\/p>\n

The PM maintained that people should choose CCM candidates in various posts to be able to speak one language.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you choose CCM councillorship candidates, they will be able to form their own council, speak similar language while presenting their views to representatives in Parliament,\u201d noted the MP.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the PM campaigned for Mr Dotto Biteko who was contesting for Bukombe Constituency and Mr Richard Mabenga who was vying for Igulwa Ward councillor.<\/p>\n

In another development, Mr Majaliwa told Mbogwe residents that 3.9bn\/- had been released for the construction of the district headquarters. The government had disbursed 1.2bn\/- for the improvement of water projects in Kabanga-Nhomolwa.<\/p>\n

\u201cA total of 1.3bn\/- has been set aside for the implementation of a water project in Mbogwe which will benefit the people of Kasosobe, Bwela and Iboya.\u201d<\/p>\n

The people were informed of the expansion of a Nyakafuru water project valued at 633m\/- that would benefit areas such as Lulembela, Nyakafuru, Shinyanga A and B.<\/p>\n

The implementation of the project will go in line with the installation of utility poles in Nyakafuru, Shenda and Masumbwe.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Dr John Magufuli via a telephone call requested the people of Ushetu to grant him overwhelming votes which would allow him to serve them.<\/p>\n

Dr Magufuli, who is seeking to be re-elected for the presidential post, made the call through CCM Central Committee member Kassim Majaliwa, who was conducting campaigns at Nyamilangano Grounds in Kahama District, Shinyanga Region.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very grateful to the people of Ushetu for letting Engineer Kwandikwa pass unopposed. I was very eager to be present there, but I am in Tunduma. I have sent Prime Minister Majaliwa to ask you to vote for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cStay assured that the Prime Minister is speaking on my behalf. I wish you a blissful meeting,\u201d said Dr Magufuli.<\/p>\n

He recalled his pledge to implement a road project from Ushetu to Kahama, noting that the plan was still there. He will be visiting them after the general election.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still remember the promise I made to you regarding building Ushetu-Kahama Road to tarmac level\u2026I ask you to vote for me and all ward councillors,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

The PM also pleaded with the people of Ushetu to direct all their votes to Dr Magufuli and all other CCM candidates.<\/p>\n

For his part, Mr Kwandikwa attributed the achievements attained in Ushetu under Dr Magufuli\u2019s administration, naming 1,200km from the former 400km district roads constructed to tarmac level.<\/p>\n

Equally, the fifth government installed electricity to 58 villages out of the 112 villages. He stressed a plan to reach the remaining villages.<\/p>\n
