AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> REGISTERED voters have failed to elect their councilors in four wards in the just ended election following the death of three candidates and fault noticed in the ballot papers.<\/p>\n

The Chairman of National Electoral Commission (NEC), Judge (Rtd) Semistocles Kaijage broke the news at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon,\u00a0few minutes before closure of voting exercise.<\/p>\n

According to the chairman, election of councilors has been suspended in Igumbilo, Kisingia and Nyamhanga due to deaths candidates<\/p>\n

In Kibosho Kati ward, according to Justice Kaijage, some names were not recorded of councillorship contestants.<\/p>\n

New date for election rerun in the mentioned wards will be announced later, he added.<\/p>\n
