AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi has been sworn-in as Zanzibar new president at the Amaan Stadium in the Island, earlier today.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the ceremony, the Islands\u2019 new Head of State said that his government will be built on the foundation of justice, accountability, transparency and equality to all.<\/p>\n

Elaborating, Dr Hussein Mwinyi , who is the son of the Mainland Tanzania second president, told the gathering that his greatest aim would be to build a new Zanzibar for all citizens regardless of their political affiliations.<\/p>\n

However, he thanked his predecessor, Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein whose term of office ended while handing him over power as well as Zanzibar\u2019s Chief of Justice Omar Othman Makungu, saying they played a great role in advising him wish them well in their endevours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
