AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> TANZANIA Bureau of Standards (TBS) have stamped authority in the 2020 Inter- Parastatal and Non-Parastatal Sports Federation of Tanzania (SHIMUTA), winning two major trophies in the event held Tanga over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The TBS Director of Testing and Metrology, Johanes Maganga commended players for commitment and hard work that enabled the team to achieve the desired goal.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs TBS we are satisfied with the way players expressed commitment during the games that made them to scoop several trophies,\u201d he said urging them to continue with preparations for the next games.<\/p>\n

On his part, the TBS Director General, Yusuf Ngenya said TBS has participated in the SHIMUTA games for six consecutive years.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all sports can help players maintain fitness and health as well as to enhance efficiency in their daily works,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The TBS sports team emerged third in the Tug of War game and reached the quarter final stage in netball. In draught TBS sports team scooped the third place after beating Muhimbili.<\/p>\n

While in women discipline TBS sports reached quarter final stage and lost to the University of Dodoma team.<\/p>\n

On the tug of war competitions, TBS sports team emerged victorious against Mwalimu Nyerere College.<\/p>\n
