AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> KIBAHA Harvest Pentecostal Church Pastor Elisha Mwalimu has urged young people to use their talents and energy to engage in productive activities to eradicate poverty in their families and help build the national economy.<\/p>\n

The cleric gave the call yesterday as he was officiating at a church youth economic forum held at Kwa Mathias in the district.<\/p>\n

He said while he was still young, he used his talents to do many things for development because he was energetic enough to do so.<\/p>\n

He further said God had given talents to every youth, therefore, it was not the right idea for the youth to complain about lack of employment opportunities, while they had been given godly gifts which if were properly used could take them to another level of development and at the same time help build the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe youth should stop complaining, but they should work hard because development can\u2019t come through complaints … President Magufuli has always been calling upon Tanzanians to work hard, thus the youth should be a good example of working hard to eradicate poverty in families,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n

He further said that God wanted to see his people working hard and that was why he promised to bless the work of their hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, staying idle despite the talents that God has given someone is a sin as other sins because it is against God\u2019s word and will.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also wanted them to unite in their productive activities so that they could easily access loans from financial institutions to expand their businesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou need to unite so that you may share experience and work together. By so doing you can also access loans from banks and other financial institutions… don\u2019t weaken yourselves by working individually… together you can do great things,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

However, he said the church would always support the youth by advising them and give them necessary support so that their initiatives of establishing development projects could succeed.<\/p>\n

The three-day workshop was organised by the church to empower its youths by imparting to them entrepreneurial skills so that they could use their talents and skills in productive activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
