YOUNG Africans Head Coach Luc Eymael said he is thinking about his future after a 1-0 defeat from Azam FC at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam over the weekend.<\/p>\n
It was the second back to back defeat for Yanga under the tutelage of the Belgian tactician in the unfolding Vodacom Premier League (VPL) following another 3-0 upset from Kagera Sugar at Uhuru Stadium last week.<\/p>\n
The slump saw Yanga glued to the eighth slot on the table with 25 points from 14 games and have since lost three games this season while Azam moved to the second place with 32 points from 15 encounters.<\/p>\n
At a post-match briefing, Eymael said he is not used to lose two games in a row as such, he is thinking about his future. \u201cI am not used to lose six points in two games and I am very disappointed with the negative results,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Commenting further on the clash, Eymael said they were just unlucky to score on the day from the numerous scoring opportunities they created. \u201cWe have been very unlucky in the past two games.<\/p>\n
We had a good match in the first half, created chances and hit the posts but could not manage to put the ball behind the net. This made us concede a very soft goal which came from nowhere,\u201d said him.<\/p>\n
He added that in the second half, he opted to introduce the second striker to suit the philosophy of Tanzania football even though he knows that it is not working well widely.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor example, Liverpool and Manchester City usually play with one striker with the wingers coming in to provide the striking backup,\u201d he said. However, the Belgian coach complained about what he said bad gesture from the referee who refused to give him a handshake after he was shown the yellow card.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter he shown the yellow card to me, I wanted to give him a hand but he refused. Why did he do that or was it because I am white? Do you have the problem with white people? That is too bad\u2026I am very upset,\u201d the coach said furiously.<\/p>\n
On his part, Azam midfielder Salum Abubakar said the secret behind their recent good results in the league is a working chemistry pumped in the team by Aristica Cioaba.<\/p>\n
