Simba have already snatched two players who excelled at this year\u2019s CHAN finals.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the Msimbazi street club after is Zimbabwe powerful defender Peter Muduhwa who is nicknamed \u2018Master of Defence\u2019. The Highlanders FC player has sealed a move to Tanzanian side Simba FC to help them improve their side in domestic and continental competitions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Welcome to the big family of Tanzania champions defender Peter Muduhwa &#8216;Master of Defense'&#8221; Simba confirmed on their official twitter account.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We as the Simba family welcome you with both hands and we believe you will help us perform well in the Caf Champions League and the Simba Super Cup. &#8220;Muduhwa, who joins us from Zimbabwean outfit Highlanders FC, has arrived to seal the deal from Cameroon where he was representing Zimbabwe in the African Nations Competition.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Also joined Simba is DR Congo midfielder Doxa Gikanji who has moved from Daring Club Motema Pembe to the Tanzanian side after excelling for his country at the CHAN.<\/p>\n<p>Even before the tournament ends at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde on Sunday last week, four players are counting the benefits of playing in the tournament designed exclusively for home-based players.<\/p>\n<p>More players are expected to secure moves to clubs abroad when the tournament ends as those involved in the semi-final are concentrating on winning the title for their countries before attempting to seal moves.<\/p>\n<p>For the players who have already exited the competition it has been an improvement in their fortunes following their good showing in the tournament and key among them is impressive Uganda midfielder Saidi Kyeyune.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old midfielder, who was the Cranes\u2019 best performer at the tournament after scoring two impressive long-range goals against Togo and Morocco, has joined Sudanese giants El Merreikh.<\/p>\n<p>Kyeyune moves from Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URAFC) to boost the Sudanese side ahead of their participation in continental club competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUgandan international and URA Kampala\u2019s attacking midfielder is officially red. Welcome Kyeyune,\u201d the club confirmed on their social media pages.<\/p>\n<p>The talented midfielder, who stole the hearts of many in Cameroon with his 35- yard piledriver that beat the Togolese goalkeeper, said he was happy to be joining the club with a vast history.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a great opportunity to be part of the winning team,\u201d the midfielder wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Burkina Faso defender Soumaila Ouattara has left local side Rahimo FC for greener pasture in the attractive Morocco top-flight league. The 25-year-old centre-back has joined Raja Casablanca to become their fourth and last foreign player ahead of the start of local and continental competitions.<\/p>\n<p>He was also spotted during the CHAN and with the tournament ending on Sunday some players in the semi-final will not seal their moves until the end of the competition.<\/p>\n<p>South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns have been strongly linked with Cameroon player Loic Ako Assomo while some clubs in Europe, Africa and Asia have targeted several players from Guinea, Mali and Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>Their participation in the tournament has become a blessing to their careers as the CHAN has exposed their talents to bigger audiences and created a new fan base for the starts of the competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AfricaPress-Tanzania: TANZANIAN football giants, Simba are among the African clubs that have benefited from the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals in Cameroon.
