AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> IN attempts to promote cashless transactions in the country, NMB bank has been running NMB MastaBATA campaign that encourages its customers and the general public to use Mastercard, Masterpass QR and POS Cards.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the ninth weekly draw in Dar es Salaam, on Wednesday\u00a0NMB Senior Card Business Manager Manfred Kayala said the campaign has produced a total of 384 winners, bagging cash money and prizes all worth 93.6m\/-. He said NMB MastaBATA, which started on November 24 last year, is awarding 100,000\/- to 40 weekly winners and offering 2.4m\/-items as prizes to monthly winners, besides seeing the \u2018Grand Finale,\u2019 winners being awarded a tour of local tourism.<\/p>\n

He further said the 9 weekly draws produced 360 winners bagging cash money, besides the monthly draws also producing 24 winners scooping various prizes.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the weekly draws we have found a total of 360 winners (who won 36m\/), while two monthly draws we got 24 winners, implying 12 per month (who have won various prizes 57.6m\/-),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

However, Mr Kayala urged NMB customers to continue purchasing and paying goods and services through NMB Mastercard, Masterpass QR and POS, to increase their chances of winning the few remaining draws, including the main drawer of the final \u2018Grande Finale.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cExcluding 100,000\/- 40 winners scoop on weekly basis, monthly drawers give winners 2.4m\/- as prizes divided into three categories, the first group with the gift of a smart phone type Samsung Galaxy Note20 with the same value. \u201cThe second group with prized gifts includes small refrigerator, water dispenser, microwave and Samsung A21 phones, while the third group has three DSTV-paid TVs, a laptop and a Samsung A21 phone.<\/p>\n

Kayala noted that the winners of the \u2018Grande Finale\u2019 which offers local tourist tours in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro or Zanzibar Islands, will be free to choose alternative prizes worth 8 m\/- for each.<\/p>\n

Elaborating, he clarified that the visit of the winners of the \u2018Grande Finale\u2019 and their spouses will be three days their all costs paid by bank or given the freedom to choose alternative prizes.<\/p>\n

He described the alternative gifts as a 55-inch television paid DSTv channels for three months, a large fridge, a laptop, a \u2018microwave\u2019, a \u2018water dispenser\u2019 and a Samsung phone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
