Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>AFTER a hefty 5-0 blitz Simba handed Mtibwa Sugar, the team\u2019s Head Coach Didier Gomes said they deserved to win by a big margin at Benjamin Mkapa stadium on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman said all players perform well and praised them for discipline and their stellar performance. He called the voluminous-goal victory as fruits of the team-work, commitment and attitude of not underrating opponents.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe needed the three points which brought us closer to the top position in the league standings and our players played with a discipline as I instructed them and they managed to achieve the target,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Simba goals from Clatous Chama, Larry Bwalya, Meddie Kagere who scored a brace and Luis Miquissone sky-rocketed Simba to the second position.<\/p>\n

Simba have leapfrogged Azam who earlier held the second position with 46 points. The victory has awarded Simba 49 total points from 21 games.<\/p>\n

They are two points inferior to the leaders Young Africans who are parading 51 points from 24-game outings. Meanwhile, after a humiliating 5-0 loss to Simba, Mtibwa Sugar admitted their opponents were superior to them in every section hence they deserved to win the game.<\/p>\n

It was the second consecutive defeat for 15th – placed Mtibwa who are currently struggling to shrug off relegation scare. Mtibwa Sugar have so far reaped 24 points from 24 games, a situation that puts them at the 15th place and very close to the danger zone.<\/p>\n

The team\u2019s goalkeeping coach Soud Slim, noted his side\u2019s failure to overcome Simba forward line\u2019s pressure was a major setback as they let their opponents dominate the match from the word go.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe played against a better side and our players failed to stop our opponents from controlling the game, a weakness that helped Simba to score many goals,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Mtibwa skipper Issa Rashid also concedes the defeat saying Simba were too superior to them on the day. \u201cWe were punished for our mistakes by a better side. They deserved to win as we are going to work on our weaknesses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Elkana Kuhenga reports that Simba\u2019s attacking midfielder, Larry Bwalya, said he was delighted to score for his team in the Premier League adding that his celebration style was to signal that it is time for the world to witness Simba\u2019s success in both domestic league and CAF Champions League.<\/p>\n

Bwalya scored the second goal from Clatous Chama assist as Simba clobbered Mtibwa Sugar 5-0. It was in the 19th minute of the game when Bwalya doubled for his club completing a pass from Shomari Kapombe.<\/p>\n

“I celebrated the goal by beating my hand to the world that the time for Simba to shine in and out of the country,” said Bwalya.<\/p>\n

The Zambian national team player has said that Simba is currently in a good position and it is time for them to do well in all the leagues they participate including the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Bwalya added that he is pleased that he had scored his first goal in the Premier League because it is the target of every player to help his team.<\/p>\n
