Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>PROMISING young tennis player, Japhet Pancrass who has grabbed a ticket to compete in the Talented International Youth Tennis tournament, is looking for about 8750US Dollars to facilitate his participation. Tournament that brings together the highly talented boys and girls worldwide is scheduled to be staged held in Spain from November 22nd to 28th this year and is being organised by an international institution known as Ten Pro global.<\/p>\n

Hassan Chande, who coaches Pancrass, said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday that preparation for the youth to compete at the tournament is on a top gear, but he needs funds to cover return tickets, accommodation for nine days, facilities and training programmes for a player and two coaches.<\/p>\n

The 14- year Pancrass has secured a ticket to participate in the tournament after finishing as a finalist in Kenya Open Junior Tennis Championship staged in Nairobi in 2019. Chande said the tournament will be held at the Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy owned by World top tennis player, Rafael Nadal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese competitions will involve various countries; especially from Europe and the ones who do well will have various opportunities. It is a very important platform for Pancrass,\u201d said Chande.<\/p>\n

Among the available opportunities, according to Chande, include a chance to sign a contract with a large sports company (Wilson), to get a chance to train at Rafael Nadal academy and also entry to the universal tennis ranking.<\/p>\n

Explaining about youth\u2019s preparation, Chande said they have already started well, but they are still looking for support to enable a smooth training and participation.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is going well, but we need assistance that will enable us to train at a high level,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Chande added: \u201cWe are asking the government, stakeholders and various institutions and sports wellwishers for the sponsorship.\u201d He stressed that they have started preparations early because this competition is big, but also involves highly talented young players, therefore he needs adequate preparation as it is the first time for Tanzania to participate in the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
