Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>KCB Bank has pledged to cooperate with the government in addressing problems facing individuals with special needs as part of the efforts to fight poverty.<\/p>\n

According to the Bank, the support will be focused on addressing challenges facing people with special needs in education, health and environmental affairs, including helping those engaging in entrepreneurial activities with the major objective of improving their incomes.<\/p>\n

A Representative of the KCB Executive Director, Mr Juma Abdul spoke of the Bank\u2018s resolve at an iftar hosted in Arusha was attended by different government and religious leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cKBC joins hands with the government to fight poverty in all its forms by supporting the communities that are in need in the areas of education, health, environment, and entrepreneurship, including supporting those hit by disasters in different parts of the country. We will also support the youth, women, orphans and those who live in trying environments,\u201d said Mr Abdul who is also the Bank\u2019s head of the department of small customers.<\/p>\n

He noted that during the holy month of Ramadan it is special for Muslims to do good deeds that God likes, saying KCB Bank Tanzania decided to offer iftar to their clients, especially those who get SAHL (Islamic) banking services.<\/p>\n

Arusha Regional Commissioner (RC), Mr Iddy Kimanta, who presided over the event as chief guest, pledged government support to the Bank in its activities to the public without looking at their ideologies, as long as they were in line with government policies directives and conditions.<\/p>\n
