Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has urged newly trained CAF Diploma D female coaches not to put in shelves their certificates but rather apply the gained skills on the pitch.<\/p>\n

This was said recently by the federation\u2019s Technical Director Oscar Milambo, when he closed the ten-day course which attracted female coaches from across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a federation, what we want to achieve is to see that the game of football is spread to reach every corner of the country, so that those who are eligible to play should seize the opportunity. \u201cAchieving this target is possible bearing in mind that the trainees were drawn from all 22 regions of our country meaning that when they go back to their respective areas, they will apply the acquired knowledge on the ground,\u201d Milambo said.<\/p>\n

He also said that the platform will be a catalyst to uplift women football countrywide, hence attracting more women to join the beautiful sport of football.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had the best ten days of training to the extent that all beneficiaries were able to positively grasp every lesson brought to them in terms of both practical and theory. \u201cThe federation always thrives to make sure that investment in grassroots development programmes to both girls and boys are done at all cost as such, sharpening coaching skills is another priority of the federation,\u201d noted Milambo.<\/p>\n

He then seized the chance to encourage all the trainees to continue taking up refreshing courses in order to upgrade their qualifications and be able to qualify for high CAF coaching courses.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo see how they are progressing, we will be monitoring and evaluating them as one way to ensure that what they learnt is being practiced well. \u201cThrough monitoring, we will also be in a better position to record some of the challenges they face while executing their responsibilities. Education is just a process, hence a considerable period should be given before we start realizing the benefits,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

TFF runs a number of youth development projects in different parts of the country and that goes hand in hand with scaling up the skills of football coaches as the two things are inseparable<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
