{"id":30045,"date":"2021-06-02T16:17:09","date_gmt":"2021-06-02T16:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/?p=30045"},"modified":"2021-06-02T15:52:19","modified_gmt":"2021-06-02T15:52:19","slug":"dse-suspends-jatu-plc-for-two-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/dse-suspends-jatu-plc-for-two-months","title":{"rendered":"DSE suspends Jatu Plc for two months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\">Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) has temporarily suspended an agri-based firm\u2014Jatu Plc from trading for two months to pave the way for the start-up&#8217;s initial public offer.<\/p>\n<p>The bourse said the suspension started June 1st and would last up to July 28th.<\/p>\n<p>It plans to list 15,000,000 new shares.But in a statement released on Wednesday, DSE said the suspension was a decision reached after the regulator\u2014Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) harmonization of Jatu\u2019s corporation actions.<\/p>\n<p>The action related to \u201cshare split for existing listed shares, price between primary market and secondary market and ongoing IPO,\u201d DSE said.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said all shares, following the share split for existing shares together with new shares subscribed during the IPO, will be credited electronically and deposited in the Central Depository System on July 29th to enable secondary trading.<\/p>\n<p>The agri-based firm shares were trading at 1,200\/- before the suspension on Tuesday against 420\/- during listing late last November<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania.
