South Korean multinational electronic company, LG unveiled plans to extend its market footprint in Tanzania by opening\u00a0new shops in response to the growing demand for home appliances, home entertainment, and air conditioning solutions.<\/p>\n

This was revealed by the LG East African Managing Director, SaNyoung Kim in Dar es Salaam, while launching a new shop in the East African country.<\/p>\n

Kim said that consumer trends point to steady growth in the business-to-consumer\u00a0and business-to-business segments, with a notable increase in the purchase\u00a0of premium products like refrigerators, TVs, and washing machines with the latest energy saving technologies, reported IPPmedia. \u00a0“This is the second brand shop in Dar es salaam after the revamping of another shop at the Posta near\u00a0 Clock Tower,” said Kim.<\/p>\n

Extension background<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2015 LG Electronics announced that it was going to expand its branch network in the eastern Africa region to improve the availability of its products and services for growing clients.<\/p>\n

LG’s planned to invest approximately Sh100 million in the first phase expansion in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Sudan and Zambia of the expansion that will see 25 outlets opened up in these nations.<\/p>\n

In the same year LG launched the first of its new Super Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV in the Kenyan market.<\/p>\n

Unique products<\/strong><\/p>\n

According\u00a0to Mr Kim the Managing Director of the firm, the planned shops across the region will be high footfall, high sales stores designed to enhance the customer experience for the new technologies and products the company has to offer.such as OLED TV, Twin washing products, InstaView refrigerator, Neochef microwave and AI DD AT-powered washing\u00a0machines.<\/p>\n

LG is currently\u00a0rolling out a number of premium\u00a0products in East Africa with the latest core technology featuring intelligent applications that conserve energy, water and are environmentally friendly while being easily\u00a0usable, thus promoting diversity and inclusion, key Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n

Expansion plan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marketing and\u00a0 Sales Manager from LG electronics David Kessy said they might consider opening more shops in the future, since the market is dynamic and retail changes on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

He said that the firm has been rolling out its physical presence in the East Africa region for years. But this time round they are planning to take this further by growing their own premium category and providing the kind of experience the customers desire as individuals or businesses seeking first class technology with the right\u00a0 support.<\/p>\n

Blessings in disguise<\/strong><\/p>\n

LG Electronics Kessy said it is evident that during Covid-19 pandemic technology is even more important in people’s lives, coupled with innovations that support efficiency\u00a0and healthy living.<\/p>\n
