Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE government is considering a digital solution to address shortage of science and mathematics teachers across the country.<\/p>\n

Students in over 1,000 secondary schools in Tanzania have never met face to face with their physics teacher and students in other 400 schools haven\u2019t seen a mathematics teacher, the government said in Dodoma on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Minister of State President\u2019s Office Regional Administration and Local Governments Ummy Mwalimu told parliamentarians that the government is planning to recruit more science and mathematics teachers to reduce the teacher-students gap.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s high time we invest in Information Communication Technology (ICT) in which competent science teachers will prepare their well-organized tutorials for students,\u201d the minister said.<\/p>\n
