Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>SIMBA face tricky fixture away to Polisi Tanzania in the Mainland Premier League battle at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza today.<\/p>\n

The reigning champion will be seeking to regain six points lead at the summit of the league table. They sit top of the 18-team pile on 67 points from 27 outings, three points above second placed, Young Africans who have played 30 matches.<\/p>\n

A win for Simba today, will bring them much closer to the fourth straight league title, because they will post 70 points that will need them to win at least two more games and a draw to lift the title.<\/p>\n

The Msimbazi Reds Head Coach, Didier Gomes said his team is well prepared and ready for the fight, targeting nothing else but maximum points against Police Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Speaking during his team\u2019s training at Nyamagana Stadium here on Thursday, Gomes said his team is in good condition and has no injuries. \u2018\u2019We are well organised and want to make sure we emerge victorious.<\/p>\n

We have set ourselves the goal of this season league title and you cannot attain that without winning matches,\u201d Gomes said.<\/p>\n

He said they will play their usual free flowing game, pressing their opponents from the onset. Simba have travelled to Mwanza with 24 players, according to team Manager, Patrick Rweyemamu.<\/p>\n

He said the trio of Clatous Chama, who is still in Zambia following the loss of his wife will still be missed in the squad. Others are midfielders Ibrahim Ajib, who is reportedly sorting family matters and embattled Jonas Mkude, who has been suspended by the club allegedly for indiscipline.<\/p>\n

For his part, the Assistant Coach of Police Tanzania, George Mketo said his team has never beaten Simba SC in any game but the players will fight to get good results.<\/p>\n

He said his team will miss the services of Mohamed Mmanga, who is injured.<\/p>\n

\u201c Our aim is to make sure we fight and finish in fourth place in the league table,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
