Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE Deputy Minister for Works and Transport, Mr Mwita Waitara, yesterday urged Tanzania Port Authority (TPA) staff to work as a team to ensure efficiency and productivity at ports.<\/p>\n

Speaking to TPA management and other employees, Mr waitara said the government expects TPA to improve performance and contribute to the country\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n

He said all employees must work as a team to meet the government goals and the authority\u2019s targets.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government does not want to hear any kind of divisions among TPA staff, you must work as a team because we have the same goals.<\/p>\n

Our goal here is to improve the port\u2019s performance and boost revenues,\u201d he noted. Mr Waitara asked TPA staff to support the recently appointed boss, Mr Eric Hamisi, saying his leadership depends on cooperation and support from other employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr Erick Hamisi was appointed as your new boss. He was appointed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, therefore accord him cooperation and support,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Minister added that the Head of State expects TPA to make transformation and work hard to meet the government goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
