Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>SOLAR Planet Company is in the process of setting up a solar energy batteries manufacturing plant in Dar es Salaam Region after experiencing concerns from customers who the use renewable energy technologies.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive with Daily News, the company\u2019s managing director, Mr Hamza Lema said the high-tech batteries will support economic activities including fishing along Lake Victoria.<\/p>\n

He said the company is implementing the project, thanks to the government’s industrialization policy which has attracted investors in the country.<\/p>\n

According to Mr Lema, currently Tanzania imports batteries, hence the majority can’t afford the price.<\/p>\n

He added that most fishermen in Lake Victoria use conventional lights in their daily activities but Solar Planet Company has come up with modern technology D-2 lamps.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
