{"id":32373,"date":"2021-07-09T13:50:17","date_gmt":"2021-07-09T13:50:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/?p=32373"},"modified":"2021-07-09T13:32:28","modified_gmt":"2021-07-09T13:32:28","slug":"crdb-goes-for-self-training-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/crdb-goes-for-self-training-programme","title":{"rendered":"CRDB goes for self-training programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\">Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>CRDB Bank yesterday launched a \u2018Graduate Development Programme\u2019, which focuses on preparing college graduates to become experts in banking, and building them into future leaders.<\/p>\n<p>CRDB Bank CEO Abdulmajid Nsekela said the program will help build the bank\u2019s future leaders and make it more competitive in the country\u2019s market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur bank is growing very fast in the sense of expanding its branch network in the country and outside the country. But we are also in Burundi and in the process of going to Congo DRC. \u201cThis growth requires us as a bank to prepare tomorrow\u2019s leaders and staff who will be able to adapt to changes in the market,\u201d Mr Nsekela said.<\/p>\n<p>The program came at the right time when the government and development partners in the country are investing heavily in ensuring that university graduates in the country find employment and create a self-employed environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we launch this program, we already have 32 young people\u2014three from Burundi\u2014 who are undergoing the training under this program,\u201d the CEO said.<\/p>\n<p>The trainees have also received field training through branches, departments and units within the bank to build their resilience. \u201cAnd, after three years of the program they get full-time employment,\u201d said Mr Nsekela.<\/p>\n<p>CRDB\u2019s Director of Human Resources, Siaphoro Kishimbo said last year the bank in collaboration with Niajiri, a human resources company, announced the training opportunities where many applied and 32 were selected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is five months since trainees joined the program and we are proud to be part of the youth employment solution,\u201d Ms Kishimbo, said.<\/p>\n<p>CRDB Vice Chairperson Prof Neema Mori congratulated the trainees to participate in the program and urged them to work hard and with high professionalism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been told that you have started very well and that you have started to be strong in the areas you were previously approved. \u201cOur hope is to see trainees in leadership positions after these three years,\u201d Prof Mori said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the trainees, Aurelia Haule thanked CRDB for providing training and employment opportunities to the youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is my belief that after this program we will be able to become more efficient and help our bank to make great strides in its operations\u201d added Mr Haule.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania.
