Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>ZANZIBAR Beach Soccer governing body has released a calendar for the 2021\/22 season as the sport heads for the brighter new season. The release of the calendar was confirmed here yesterday by the association\u2019s chairman Ali Sharif Adolf during the climax of the ZIFF Women Beach Soccer tournament.<\/p>\n

Adolf who also serves as Isles National Beach Soccer team coach, however said the calendar contains all major tournaments to be staged in the Isles in the coming season.<\/p>\n

He said ZIFF Women Beach Soccer tournament was the first event in the calendar.<\/p>\n

\u201cThough the tournament looked like a normal sports festival, it actually opened the new season, which we believe it will be very bright,\u201d he said. Seven teams from Zanzibar and Pemba participated in the season\u2019s opener.<\/p>\n

Jumbi FC were declared the tournament\u2019s champions after defeating UMZ 9-1 in a one-sided encounter.<\/p>\n

The winners Jumbi walked out with a trophy and 600,000\/- cash prize while the runners up UMZ pocketed 300,000\/- prize.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
