Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>OVER 60 domestic tourists from Tarime district in Mara region have visited the Northern fringes of the world-famous Serengeti National Park to view wildebeest migration and other wild animals.<\/p>\n

The group entered the national park through Lamai Gate which is located several kilometers away from Tarime Town, being the home to Africa\u2019s best park.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have received about 64 tourists from Tarime today (yesterday) and we are very excited, knowing very well that they will enjoy viewing the great wildebeest migration,\u201d said Serengeti National Park Head of Toursim, Ms Tutindaga George.<\/p>\n

She further said in the wildebeest migration, the animals spend four months at the northern Serengeti starting from July to October, before trooping to another location within the country\u2019s second-largest park.<\/p>\n

She said the spectacular wildebeest migration is one of the unique attractions attracting tourists from different parts of the world.<\/p>\n

Reached for a comment, several domestic tourists including Tarime District Commissioner (DC) Col. Michael Mtenjele expressed their happiness after seeing thousands of wildebeests and other several beautiful wild animals forming a convoy to migrate.<\/p>\n

Giving his view, Col Mtenjele further said: \u201cI would like to congratulate the organizers of this trip; it should not be the first and the end.<\/p>\n

These domestic tourists will be good ambassadors to other local tourists wishing to visit the park.\u201d On her part, Veronica Bilal, another domestic tourist described Serengeti as an amazing tourist destination that every Tanzania should visit.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is amazing in Serengeti, it is even a good and safe place for Tanzanians to visit with their families \u201c, Ms Veronica said.<\/p>\n

This reporter also witnessed dozens of foreign tourists flocking into the park to view the great wildebeest migration as well as other wild animals accompanying them.<\/p>\n
