Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>TRADERS have been advised to register their businesses to ensure they pay taxes that will help to contribute to the country\u2019s development growth.<\/p>\n

The remarks were made by Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Amos Makalla during the new tax payer registration campaign held recently in the city.<\/p>\n

He said the campaign is in line with the government\u2019s directive which urged the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) to expand its tax collection scope.<\/p>\n

RC Makalla further advised traders to come out in large numbers to register their businesses that will help to boost economic growth in the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the campaign traders you should keep your business records that will help TRA in estimation and collection of taxes and also to provide receipt to the customers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

TRA Internal Tax Commissioner, Hubert Kabyemela said the campaign will expand the scope of new tax payers countrywide, that will enable them to increase the revenue generated from tax collection.<\/p>\n

He said the campaign aims to identify the contribution of registered traders and taxpayers in the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
