Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Employment, Youth and the Disabled, Jenister Mhagama, has directed all ministries to review and update all outdated policies for aligning them with the country’s current situation and needs.<\/p>\n

According to her, some policies were enacted a long ago between 1992 and 2010 and thus they became irrelevant in implementing the country’s Development Vision 2025 through the current Third Five Years Development Plan 2021\/22-2025\/26, CCM manifesto 2020-2025 and directives from the country’s top leaders.<\/p>\n

In this regard, she directed that the outdated policies be reviewed; adding that next month, the Prime Minister’s Office will issue guidelines<\/p>\n

on the strategic plan which will outline all outdated policies.<\/p>\n

The guideline, she said, will include new policies that were enacted between 2015 and 2020, as well as those which need to be reviewed and that in January next year, the government would release a book containing all policies that would be reviewed as well as outlining policies that do not meet the country’s demands for now.<\/p>\n

She was speaking at Dodoma’s Treasury Square during an official event to launch a digital dashboard that is capable of linking data from all ministries, public institutions and agencies that are involved in the implementation of the country’s development plans.<\/p>\n

The digital dashboard was developed by patriotic Tanzanians from e-Government Agency (eGA), which is under the Ministry of Finance and Planning.<\/p>\n

Ms Mhagama said the approach would enable the government to act in a transparent and dynamic manner to ensure the effectiveness in delivering assistance and services.<\/p>\n

According to the PMO, the centralised and live data collection displayed through the digital dashboard was the outcome of the cooperation among the ministries and agencies, in line with the government\u2019s efforts toward e-implementation, in preparation for the country’s industrial economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
