{"id":35699,"date":"2021-08-27T15:10:08","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T15:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/?p=35699"},"modified":"2021-08-27T15:06:27","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T15:06:27","slug":"cas-sets-new-date-for-young-africans-morrison-saga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/cas-sets-new-date-for-young-africans-morrison-saga","title":{"rendered":"CAS sets new date for Young Africans, Morrison saga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\">Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has said time limit to communicate arbitral award in Young Africans and Simba SC player Bernard Morrison has been extended until 21 September, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Both Simba SC and Young Africans fans have been asking the development of the case since the arbitral award to the involved parties was expected to be communicated early this week.<\/p>\n<p>A statement signed by CAS Counsel Carolin Fischer on behalf of the Court\u2019s deputy president stated: \u201cI acknowledge receipt of respondent\u2019s email of 26 August 2021, a copy of which is enclosed for Appellant\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe parties are kindly invited to accept CAS Court Office\u2019s apologies for the delay in communicating the following.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the Deputy President of CAS Appeal Arbitration Division, please be advised that the time limit to communicate the arbitral award to the parties, pursuant to Article R59 of the code of Sports-related Arbitration has been extended until 21 September 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Jangwani side are contesting that the player breached his contract and signed for their traditional rivals Simba at the beginning of the last season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania.
