It was simply the high work-rate which made the difference today (Tuesday),” said he.

He also revealed that the deployment of Bocco and Meddie Kagere as twin strikers had a big impact towards their massive victory as each of them played well for the sake of getting good results.

On his part, one of the goal scorers on the day Dilunga thanked God for enabling him to net against a team he described as difficult to beat.

“I have no secret concerning the good performance we displayed only that we played as a team with one aim to win the game. Mtibwa Sugar is a quality side who beat us in the finals of Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar hence we agreed not to let them shine again over us,” he said.

He then thanked Simba supporters, who came in big number at Jamhuri Stadium to cheer their team despite losing the previous match.

“Our fans are the ones who keep us moving forward. They are always behind us regardless of the results of the game. After losing the past game, we had no other option but to retain morale among ourselves which in the end paid off positively,” Hussein said.

Up next, Simba face Lipuli FC at Samora Stadium in Iringa on Saturday with another chance to pocket vital away three points to stay glued at the top of the league pyramid.

On his side, Mtibwa Sugar Head Coach, Zuberi Katwila disclosed that their own mistakes led to be punished with such a big goal margin.

“We are saddened by the loss as we desperately needed to win at our home ground to be able to move up on the league table. Simba had the ability to command the midfield and we were highly exposed in the second half, where they scored twice,” Katwila remarked.

Mtibwa Sugar Captain Henry Joseph said they conceded cheap goals against Simba but insisted that they need to wake up in their follow-up clashes.

SIMBA SC Head Coach, Sven Vandenbroeck disclosed that high work-rate by his players made the difference in their 3-0 thrashing of Mtibwa Sugar at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro on Tuesday.
