Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Former Prime Minister, Edward Lowassa has said the incumbent Tanzania\u2019s President Samia Suluhu Hassan has enabled the country to reclaim its global position.<\/p>\n

On his congratulatory message to the sixth phase government, shared on Friday, Mr Lowassa, who contested for the Presidential post in the 2015 general election, applauded President Samia for her maiden speech delivered to the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.<\/p>\n

The speech highlighted various issues varying from climate change to multilateralism concept.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a short period of time, she (President) has managed to restore trust to private sector in building the country\u2019s economy,\u201d he said in the statement.<\/p>\n

Equally he called upon citizens to support the President in building the strong economy.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cPresident Samia has proved beyond the reasonable doubt that Tanzania has got a \u2018star\u2019 for having a courageous female leader in the highest office; for whom we have reasons to be proud of and support her.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
