Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has said the sixth phase government led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan has demonstrated the ability to lead the country and bring development to all Tanzanians, regardless of their religious and ethnic differences.<\/p>\n

sixth phase administration has maintained solidarity, justice, national unity and urged all Tanzanians to pray for President Samia\u2019s ongoing good leadership.<\/p>\n

He made the remarks yesterday at the Maulid al-Nabi Baraza in Bukoba, Kagera Region, where he was representing President Samia.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister urged Tanzanians in the country to embrace the celebrations as an opportunity to read and interpret the Prophet Muhammad\u2019s (SAW)\u2019s life in their daily lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuch reflection would enable us to live a life of brotherhood, love, respect and solidarity among us Muslims and other Tanzanians,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Expounding on peace and stability, Mr Majaliwa stated that peace is a great gift that God has bestowed on humanity and that living in peace is glorify him.<\/p>\n

\u201cEach of us should be responsible for maintaining peace, since peace is everything. \u201cWithout peace, we cannot progress, worship, send our children to school and do many other things,\u201d Mr Majaliwa remarked.<\/p>\n

He went on to say that, because Tanzania has been a leader in promoting and sustaining peace, it is the responsibility of every Tanzanian to continue to do so, by educating young people and children on the fundamentals of peace so that they can do so as well The government understands the role of religious denominations in keeping peace.<\/p>\n

Religious leaders have served as wonderful ambassadors for decades, maintaining our peace,\u201d he remarked. The PM also tapped the opportunity to urge religious leaders to educate their followers in preparation for the Population and Housing Census, which is set to take place in August next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis endeavour will provide the Government with essential data for policy making, planning and coming up with development programs, as well as monitoring their execution,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister also encouraged people to come out in huge numbers to receive Covid- 19 vaccinations. \u201cThe subject of health is serious and it is not to be taken lightly.<\/p>\n

President Samia has begun a Covid-19 vaccination campaign, let\u2019s rally around her,\u201d said the PM.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Abubakar Zubeir bin Ally, Tanzania\u2019s Mufti and Chief Sheikh, advised Tanzanians to continue to respect and obey their religious leaders and the government ones, because that positive attitude contributes to the country\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Nuhu Jabir, the Secretary- General of the National Muslim Council of Tanzania (Bakwata), commended the sixth phase government, on how it serves the people by allocating 1.3 tril\/- to various development initiatives.<\/p>\n

Earlier on, President Samia greeted the public on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad\u2019s birthday, Maulid al-Nabi, yesterday \u201cAll the best to you, Maulid Nabi. Let us rejoice in the spirit of our Prophet\u2019s teachings of peace, love and solidarity.<\/p>\n

The Prophet\u2019s birth provides immense motivation and a calling to continue to build our country and improve the welfare of our society,\u201d the President tweeted.<\/p>\n

Maulid is observed on the 12th day of the month of Rabiul- Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar.<\/p>\n

It is celebrated every year as the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. Muslims across the world celebrate the day, which is also a designated holiday in many parts of the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
