Africa-Press<\/a> – Tanzania<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>TEMEKE District Commissioner, Jokate Mwegelo has called on parents, public and the private sector to support government initiatives towards improving education in the country.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the handing over of dozens of paints worth 15m\/- donated by Coral Paints for Kizinga Primary School in Mbagala Kizuiani in Dar es Salaam, DC Mwegelo said that the government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan is taking various initiatives to uplift the standard of education in the country.<\/p>\n

She noted that following the initiatives, any other support from the private, public and government institutions is highly appreciated.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thank Coral Paints for this timely donation to decorate our school buildings, and this will improve learning environment for our pupils,\u201d said Mwegelo.<\/p>\n

She said that Temeke is one of the beneficiaries of the construction of 15,000 classrooms to be built by the government across the country, and that her district, through its own internal resources, is also taking steps to improve other areas to make sure that they meet desired goals.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Kizinga Primary School Headmaster, John Kalua said that the donation was timely since his school was facing different challenges including school infrastructures which have not been renovated for a long time.<\/p>\n

On his part, head of marketing of the paint firm, Adam Kefa said that the donation aimed at supplementing President Samia\u2019s effort to improve the education sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe acknowledge the government\u2019s continued effort to improve the education sector in the country, and we feel obliged to support such initiatives as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (SCR) drive to communities that surround us,\u201d.<\/p>\n
