GGM Vice-President (Sustainability) Simon Shayo said the programme would motivate great enrolment of the students to the institution and improve learning activities to produce competent professionals in the extractive industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt can be recalled that we have supported VETA Moshi to launch the IMT programme with the intention of aligning the institution\u2019s capacity to continue offering better services to young Tanzanians,\u201d Mr Shayo said.<\/p>\n<p>Also GGM is sponsoring youth from communities surrounding them to attend technical mining courses offered by VETA Moshi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are happy to now handover the equipment worth 132m\/- to the centre that grooms youth to be skilled in the extractive industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>VETA Director General, Dr Pancras Bujulu also said the support was better that physically giving them money. \u201cOn paper, the donation appears to be 132m\/-, but in reality the benefit is much higher and would last long,\u201d Dr Bujulu said.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding over the occasion, Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner Steven Kagaigai said it was clear that the learning equipment would make a big difference to the campus and enable students benefit and graduate with better skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\">Tanzania<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania.
