Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>Insurances Regulation Authority (TIRA) has challenged the financial institutions to adhere to rules and regulations in order to provide efficiency insurance services Tanzanians.<\/p>\n

This was said by TIRA Corporate Communication Manager, Eliezer Rweikiza during an event where Faidika Microfinance became the first microfinance institution to launch bancassurance services.<\/p>\n

He urged Faidika Microfinance to ensure that insurance education reaches the people to implement TIRA\u2019s strategy of reaching about 80 per cent of the citizens with insurance knowledge.<\/p>\n

For his part, Faidika Board Chairman Adam Mayingu said with bancassurance services the institution main goal is to reach the general public and offer the insurance services from their various partners\u2019 insurers where they have no reach.<\/p>\n

He applauded TIRA for regulating the bancassurance market in Tanzania and that Faidika are very proud to be associated with.<\/p>\n

Faidika Microfinance Chief Executive Officer Mr Baraka Munisi named insurances firms that they partnered with including Alliance Life, Sanlam Life, Sanlam General Britam (General),Strategies (General and Medical, First Assurance),Jubilee Life, Jubilee General.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that through insurers; Faidika has started offering insurance services ranging from Life insurance, General insurance and health insurance products.<\/p>\n

“Our among Faidika\u2019s Strategies going forward to diversity and expand their products offering to the market delivering unique value proposition to the market, “he said.<\/p>\n
