Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>NUNS of the Sisters of our Lady of Kilimanjaro have established a new nursing school in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region, in contributing to efforts for improving the health sector.<\/p>\n

The facility is expected to boost number of nurses who would serve in several hospitals.<\/p>\n

Speaking recently during the inauguration of the school to be known as Theresa School of Nursing, the Head of the Sisters of our Lady of Kilimanjaro, Sr. Theresia Buretta, said the launching of the training institution was meant to ensure the availability of medical practitioners since there were many medical institutions been established every year countrywide.<\/p>\n

“The government establishes many health centres and improves several others including hospitals. This is clear evidence that there will be more demand of health experts to work in these institutions”, she noted.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the newly launched training institute, Sr. Buretta said one of the main agendas of the nursing school was to produce health professionals who would be honest and highly professional to provide good services as expected by the community.<\/p>\n

She urged the students of the new nursing school, whom she said were the first product of the institution to ensure they become the best role model for those who would follow them in the future as students of the nursing school.<\/p>\n

The Head of the new nursing school, Sr. Walter Minja, urged the students to realize that it was a blessing to have the opportunity to take care of people’s health after graduating, something which she described as a very important for the life of any human being.<\/p>\n

Sr. Minja took the opportunity to congratulate all those who initiated the process of establishing the nursing which she said would put a mark in the country’s health sector by providing experts whom she said would serve people who seek health services.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of his fellow students, Mr Joseph Ndanshau, commended the leadership of the Sisters of our Lady of Kilimanjaro for the vision they had which he said led to the establishment of the school, which he said would give them the opportunity to serve the community through the education they will receive at the school.<\/p>\n
